Brownie in a Mug

Hey everyone! I am loving how much I have really connected with my readers lately through all my social media accounts. You guys are the best! Each comment I get makes me feel so supported! I have many plans and posts I am eager to share but I’m trying to take it slow so I don’t bombard fellow foodies and wear myself out. But I’ve got this great treat for you to make tonight!

I don’t even want to tell you guys how much I make this. But I’ve got it down to an art. Now, I don’t even make a full mug with these measurements for when I’m just wanting like three bites. When you make it as much as I do, all you need is a spoon and experience.

My brother and sister in law are having a new year’s resolution challenge with us over the course of three months. This month we are doing no treats. For each day we don’t eat a treat we get a point. I’m at 5 points.. It’s better than what I was doing before at least, right? Don’t worry, I’ll kill the next month. I’m a fighter.

Brownie in a Mug

  • 2 TBSP butter
  • 2 TBSP flour
  • 4 TBSP Brown Sugar
  • 2 TBSP cocoa
  • 3 TBSP milk
  1. In your mug, mix together your flour, brown sugar, and cocoa until fully incorporated.
  2. Add melted butter until it is a sort of dough.
  3. Add milk until it is the consistency of real brownie butter.
  4. Microwave for thirty seconds. Check on it. Microwave another thirty seconds. Check on it. Between a minute and a minute thirty is when it is cooked. If you look at the second picture, that is a good gauge as to when it is done. You want the middle to still be shiny but the rest a flat batter. It will continue to cook as it cools and that way it is not over cooked. Overcooked is not yummy. Fudgy is yummy.
