Pirro Pasta

Hey guys! I have a delicious pasta dish for you. Perfect starter meal to Fall… it’s a bit late because we were evacuated due to Hurricane Florence. Luckily, it missed us and we were able to spend the week at my sister-in-law’s house safe in Florida. Calvin had a blast with the cousins. I’m dying to share some cute pictures of Calv and the twins but not sure if I should just stick with food… Opinions? I’m leaning towards yes just because they’re really cute but I promise I will limit myself!

So if you follow my Instagram then you know I’m not usually a fan of jarred pasta sauces. I prefer to make my own. It can make a dish go from “eeeehh” to “freaking good”. It only takes a few minutes more to do and it really elevates dinner. BUT when Pirro Pasta reached out to me I decided to give it a try. I tried the Vodka Sauce and the Pizza sauce and they are so very good, guys. This pasta is with the Vodka sauce. Don’t be deceived by the name, the alcohol is cooked out and totally kid-friendly. Calv ate it up. I’m all for supporting good businesses and this is one of them. I love that it doesn’t have the thin, store-bought-taste. If you don’t have the extra few minutes or the skills yet to make your own sauce for dinner- this tastes just like it and you know you’re eating wholesome food.

Pirro Pasta Sauce with Veggies

  • 1/2 lb. uncooked pasta
  • 1 diced bell pepper- any color
  • 6 oz. diced andouille sausage (you can also use ground turkey or ground beef)
  • Pirro Pasta Sauce– (Get 10% off entire order with my discount code LEMONPIE)
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan
  • fresh herbs
  1. Boil pasta and set aside. Saute bell pepper and sausage in a oiled pan until done. Add Pirro Pasta Sauce and warm until it reaches a simmer. Remove from heat and add Parmesan and fresh herbs.

Wish us luck that we can get it done before they wake or we will have many helping hands in the kitchen… Not that I don’t love helpers but sometimes I want the bread to turn out how it’s supposed to, lol.
